My name is Dan Schultz (slifty@gmail.com), and I love fostering communication.

I’m married, living in Boston, and separated from my wife by an ocean, but I’m not as old as all that makes me sound! I got a B.S. in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University in 2009 and graduated High School in 2005.

At MIT I will be a masters student in the Media Lab’s Information Ecology research group under the advisement of Henry Holtzman.  During my time there I expect to work on projects that help people and groups more naturally access and create information in the physical world.  In particular, I want to help communities inform themselves in an age where  newspapers are being overwhelmed and forced to ignore the local beat.

This blog is where I’ll talk about ideas, projects, and to some extent my life.
